Site UPDATED

On Hold

Updated April 29, 2020: Though COVID-19 and our community’s stay-at-home order has slowed our efforts down, we continue to make plans to organize a neighborhood clean-up effort in this neighborhood off Scott Boulevard. ForColumbia’s core mission is to love and serve our neighbors, and a multi-year commitment to neighborhoods is one of the ways we do this. This work will begin to be scheduled once the City of Columbia, Boone County and/or the state of Missouri indicate it is safe to do so.

We are anticipating this work will begin in June 2020.

  • Serving Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Arrive at the Site:
      • Morning Volunteers: 8:45-9:00 a.m.
      • Afternoon Volunteers: 11:45 a.m.-Noon
  • Lunch for Volunteers: BBQ
    • Time: Noon-1:00 p.m.
    • Location: On site.

Why are we serving here?

ForColumbia’s mission – to bring Christians together to love and serve our neighbors – puts us in touch with those in Columbia who are more marginalized; the chronically poor, the elderly, single-parent households, those with disabilities. This year, we are serving a southwest low-income area, primarily West Bellview and West Bethany Drive off of Scott Boulevard. When we give our time for the benefit of others, we send the message that they are valuable.

What can I expect?

Details are being finalized on the work we plan to do at this site.
