Why are we serving here?
One of the ways ForColumbia strives to love and serve our neighbors is by serving those non-profit organizations who are actively working every day in the lives of people in Columbia. One of these non-profits is Catholic Charities. Among other efforts, Catholic Charities serves as the Refugee Resettlement agency for Columbia and Mid-Missouri. Since 1975, this organization has welcomed more than 4,000 refugees to our area, providing initial resettlement services and ongoing support services to refugees. By volunteering at this organization, you will help them create a more welcoming office environment for refugees and improve their capacity to resettle more refugees in mid-Missouri.

Please see COVID-19 Awareness and Sensitivity Levels for more information.
What can I expect?
Volunteers will be working inside at this site, organizing donations and bringing order out of chaos to the many resources they have for new families. If we get enough volunteers willing to serve this year, we may also do some interior painting and organizing of their space.
What should I bring?
- We encourage all volunteers to wear close-toed shoes.
- Be sure to wear your #ForColumbia2021 T-shirt!
Can I serve here with my children?
Yes, this is a great location to serve as a family with elementary-aged kids who can help!
