Why are we asking people to serve in this way?

It takes a lot of people to support this one-day, citywide effort! While the majority of our volunteers are assigned to work at specific locations, we also need a few key teams of “roaming” volunteers – people actively supporting over 100 sites in the city. The Transportation Team is one of those roaming teams.

Don't Forget to Wear Your T-Shirt! Green = Site Leader. White = Volunteer.What can I expect?

This group of volunteers will initially meet at The Crossing, and will be ready to:

  • run errands and deliver necessary items (more paint, a missing tool, etc) to sites with last-minute needs;
  • deliver lunch to dozens of work sites and hungry volunteers!
  • deliver freezer meals put together by ForColumbia volunteers for the various non-profits and individuals receiving them; see the multiple Freezer Meals sites listed under Serving Sites for more information on this.

What should I bring?

ForColumbia will cover the cost of volunteers’ fuel.

  • We encourage all volunteers to wear close-toed shoes.
  • Be sure to wear your #ForColumbia2021 T-shirt!

Can my children serve with me?
